Description
The first RS model in the Q series, the RS Q3, is the No. 1 performer in the compact SUV class. The RS model is the ultimate high-performance premium sports model produced by quattro GmbH, a wholly owned subsidiary of Audi that develops and produces sports models. This time, it has undergone a full model change to its second generation for the first time in six years. It combines a 5-cylinder engine with a quattro full-time four-wheel drive system, and has performance befitting a high-end sports model that goes beyond the framework of an SUV. The all-aluminum 2.5L inline 5-cylinder TFSI gasoline direct injection turbo engine delivers a class-leading maximum output of 400 horsepower and a maximum torque of 480 Nm. The quattro full-time four-wheel drive system, which is combined with a 7-speed S tronic transmission, uses a compact and lightweight electronically controlled multi-plate clutch. By variably distributing torque to the front and rear axles, it reliably transmits large power to the road surface, achieving excellent high-speed stability and handling stability. The exterior features a single frame grille with a black honeycomb mesh grille, large air inlets, front and rear bumpers and rear diffuser exclusive to the RS series, and two oval tailpipes on the left and right. The front and rear blister fenders reminiscent of the old Audi Sport quattro and the deeply carved lower line on the side express the strength unique to the RS series, and 20-inch 10-spoke star design aluminum wheels are standard equipment. The interior also features a design based on the octagonal single frame grille motif on the instrument panel. The Audi Virtual Cockpit Plus with RS series-exclusive mode is adopted. It is also equipped with Alcantara/leather sports seats with RS logo. Right-hand drive is available.
